2018 Lasker Essay Contest Winners

The Lasker Essay Contest engages young scientists and clinicians in a discussion about big questions in biology and medicine and the role of biomedical research in our society today. This year, we asked, “How can social media help build trust in science and the research enterprise?”

Today, we announce our first, second, and third place winners, who will receive monetary prizes to support them in their education and an invitation to attend the Lasker Awards luncheon in September.

We also hear from Abigail Cline, the 2017 Essay Contest winner, about the ideas presented in her winning essay and her future plans.
