Charles Yanofsky, whose groundbreaking work established the corresponding relationship between the arrangement of nucleotides in DNA and the linear arrangement of amino acids that make up proteins, has passed away at 92. Yanofsky’s work was honored with a 1971 Albert Lasker Basic Medical Research Award.
